SHHH
the wall said one morning.
Not alone,
I finished brushing my teeth;
padded down the hall
with a transparent army in tow
to take on the day.
The morning was now a different color.
Ethereal gum stuck on my shoe.
R JAMES SENNETT JR
My muse has been nipping at me for years. My published work first came to light in the early 1990s, in The Louisville Review, The Thinker Review, and The Birmingham Poetry Review. Then a lacuna in my poetry in the form of family and work. A cancer diagnosis awakened me in 2022. I published my poems in Galway Review, Spinozablue, Litbop, Killer Nashville, Star82, and others.
